The short version: Use Dugout to coach your team. Don't misuse it. Your data is yours. We'll be straight with you about pricing and changes.
By creating an account or using Dugout, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms apply to all users, including coaches who access Dugout through a subscription.
Dugout provides youth baseball coaching tools including stat analysis, lineup recommendations, pitch count tracking, and AI-powered coaching insights. The service is designed for use by adult coaches managing youth baseball teams.
We reserve the right to modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time. We'll give you reasonable notice for significant changes that affect how you use the service.
You must sign in using a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
Access to team data is controlled by the team administrator. If you are added to a team by a team administrator, your access may be revoked by that administrator at any time.
You must be 18 or older to create a Dugout account. Dugout is a tool for coaches — not for players or parents to create accounts independently.
Dugout is offered on a subscription basis, currently at $19/month or $149/year. Both plans include a 30-day free trial with a credit card required.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
Your team data belongs to you. Player stats, game logs, coach notes, and all other data you enter or upload into Dugout remain yours. We do not claim ownership of any data you provide.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your team data for any other purpose, including advertising or training AI models.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any data you provide, including player statistics. By uploading GameChanger exports, you represent that you are an authorized user of that GameChanger account.

Dugout uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate coaching insights, lineup recommendations, and practice plans. These are suggestions only — not medical advice, professional coaching certifications, or guarantees of performance.
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate. Always use your own judgment as a coach. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI recommendations.
Player statistics are sent to Anthropic's API to generate insights. Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train their models per their terms of service.
Dugout is not affiliated with or endorsed by GameChanger (a Dick's Sporting Goods company). "GameChanger" is a trademark of GameChanger Media, Inc. We process exported files from GameChanger that coaches download from their own accounts. You are responsible for complying with GameChanger's own terms of service when exporting your data.
Dugout includes pitch count tracking tools designed to help coaches comply with Little League International pitching regulations. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with your league's official rules. Rules vary by division and league, and can change. Always verify pitch counts with official scorekeepers and your league administrator.
Dugout is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are a small team doing our best — if something breaks, we'll fix it as fast as we can.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim related to Dugout is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
You can cancel your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
Upon termination, your access to the service ends. Your team data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Dugout after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Napa County, California.
